Gr.1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes

The Group 1 Middle Park Stakes is one of the season’s premier two-year-old races for colts, held over six furlongs at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile at the end of September. It has a history dating back to 1866.

Sponsored by Juddmonte since 2015, the race is part of 'Juddmonte Day', a seven–race card commencing with the back-to-back running of three of Britain’s most prestigious juvenile events – the Gr.2 Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes, the Gr.1 Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes and the Gr.1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes.

Known Fact won the Middle Park for Prince Khalid in 1979, in doing so becoming his owner’s first Group 1 winner. Oasis Dream won the race in record time in 2002, going on to win the July Cup and Nunthorpe Stakes the following year before becoming one of the leading sires in Europe upon retirement to stud. He sired Charming Thought to win the race in 2014.
