2026 European Mating Plans

Juddmonte is pleased to announce the 2026 mating plans for some of its high-profile mares.

Gr.1 Lockinge Stakes winner LEAD ARTIST, new to Banstead Manor Stud in 2026, will be receiving strong support from the Juddmonte broodmare band. His book of mares includes the Gr.1 producers Exemplify (dam of Breeders’ Cup winner Expert Eye) and Kilo Alpha (dam of Jenny Wiley Stakes winner Juliet Foxtrot, as well as Gr.3 winner Juliet Sierra), along with stakes-winning mares Alocasia (a half-sister to Gr.1 winner Set Piece), Classical Times (a half-sister to Gr.1 winner Newspaperofrecord), Diaphora, Scottish Jig (a sister to Gr.1 winner Seek Again) and YesYes. The son of Dubawi comes from the outstanding family of Hasili, and he was very well received by breeders who viewed him during the December Sales.

CHALDEAN’s first foals made a big impact in the sales ring – averaging £106,107 for 33 sold, with a median of £84,000. He has covered some of Juddmonte’s most proven mares in his first two seasons at stud and this will continue in 2026 with multiple Gr.1 winner Midday (the dam of four stakes performers), Quail (the dam of Gr.3 winner Faiyum) and Gr.3 winner/Gr.1 placed Grand Jete (the dam of exciting debut winner Gilded Prize) amongst his book. He will also be covering blacktype performers Chaleur (a half-sister to two Group winners), Raymonda (a half-sister to Gr.2 winner Brooch, the dam of MANDALOUN), and Vivienda (a half-sister to Gr.3 winner Swelter).

FRANKEL has had another outstanding season, siring his 40th individual Gr.1 winner and adding two more Classic winners to his impressive tally. His book of Juddmonte mares includes Gr.1 winners Capla Temptress (dam of the unbeaten two-year-old Item), Proviso, Special Duty, Teona and Whitebeam, as well as Gr.1 producer Bird Flown (dam of Siskin). Some of the Group/Graded stakes winners he will be covering include Gr.2 winners Brostaigh, Isabella Giles, Matilda Picotte, Gr.3 winners Andromede, Better Together, Juliet Sierra (a half-sister to Gr.1 winner Juliet Foxtrot), Ottery, Sacred Bridge (a sister to Gr.1 winner Viadera), Swelter and Listed winner Coppice (a sister to Calyx). He will also be covering the dams of his Group winners Red Letter and Time Lock.

KINGMAN is now the sire of over 60 Group winners and in 2025 he became the second-fastest sire in history to achieve 100 Northern Hemisphere-bred stakes winners (behind only Frankel). The dam of Classic Winner Field Of Gold, Princess De Lune, will once again visit Kingman, as well as the dams of his exciting prospects Firefall (a half-brother to Group-winning two-year-old Threat), Publish (out of Gr.2 winner Nay Lady Nay) and Maintain (out of Gr.3 winner Gaining). He will also cover the dams of Royal Ascot winning two-year-olds Calyx and Fairy Godmother. The stakes-winning mares in his book include Apollo Fountain, Ardent, Fount (Gr.3, out of Ventura), Heliac, Juncture, Petricor, Soffia (Gr.2), Sun Maiden (Gr.3, half-sister to Midday), Wendla (Gr.3, out of Intercontinental) and Zanzoun (Gr.3).

The Arc Heroines Enable and Bluestocking will both be visiting Dubawi, while the matings for other Gr.1 winning/producing mares include Emulous (dam of Bluestocking) and Viadera visiting Camelot; Nimble Thimble (dam of Quadrilateral) to Havana Grey; Quadrilateral to Lope De Vega; Pavlosk (dam of Babouche) to Mehmas; Babouche and Juliet Foxtrot to Night Of Thunder; Obligate (dam of Lead Artist) to Siyouni; and Repose (dam of State Of Rest) to Starspangledbanner.
